ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORTING APPLICATION
THE CLIENT
This project was commissioned by the Illinois Office of Comptroller, State of Illinois.Several State agencies are obligated to file their financial returns annually to the Office of the Comptroller.
SITUATIONAL CHALLENGE
With several hundred State agencies handling several forms and publishing several reports in multiple formats and systems, the task of reconciliation was extremely cumbersome. There was a need to integrate these heterogeneous islands of data into one integrated system.
THE SOLUTION METMOX
designed and developed an integrated solution with a ColdFusion Front end and MS SQL database at the backend. The system provided excellent reporting functionality using SSRS. The system designed on the lines of an ERP provided a way to track the entries by different entities - Agencies, Administrators and Auditors in one screen.

User Management Highly secure User management with integration to Active Directory for User Creation,Role Creation, Assignment of Users to Roles, Role based authority and rights. Every State Agency has separate Secure Account set up in the System. The system has lifecycle management included. The reporting agencies complete their accounting entries and promote it to the IOC. IOC will then review and reconcile all Fund Package accounts.

The System has Reports for every form which can be generated in different formats that is supported by a robust SSRS reporting engine.

Database Conversion- Secure Licensing Management - State Of Illinois

This project was commissioned by the Illinois Office of Comptroller, State of Illinois.
SITUATIONAL CHALLENGE
Cemeteries, Crematories and Funeral Homes in the state of Illinois are obligated to declare their financial transactions annually to the IOC. Hitherto, some of these Licensees would file their annual reports electronically and some others send paper forms. These were in separate databases. The legacy Access database was old and clunky. The reports were either not getting generated or were taking very long to run.
THE SOLUTION METMOX
Designed and developed an integrated solution with a ColdFusion Front end and MS SQL database at the backend. This system integrated the Electronic Filing and Administration seamlessly. It provided the ability to track records and data fields filled by different types of Users - Licensees, Auditors and Administrators in a single screen. The system provided excellent reporting functionality using SSRS.

Web Access:

The System has Global and Local Reports that are available to Admin Users. These reports have security validations that are role based.

New Teacher Induction and Mentoring Program - State Of Illinois
K-12 TEACHER INDUCTION AND MENTORING PROGRAM
THE CLIENT
This project was commissioned by a Regional Office of Education in the state of Illinois.
SITUATIONAL CHALLENGE
A comprehensive system to monitor the effectiveness of the new teacher induction program was required to be developed as this was being done in a decentralized manner with individual program centers having their own systems to manage. When the ROE approached METMOX, it was to develop an integrated system that would provide oversight, accountability, and systemic evaluation of the new teachers and their mentors with limited staff to manage the program.
THE SOLUTION METMOX
Designed a solution with a lean UI and a robust database at the back end for both Teachers and Mentors to log in with their respective credentials and access their respective workflows. A Mentor will set up the objectives within the system for the teachers that the mentor is assigned to, individually. Each Teacher will provide the data with respect to the achievement of those objectives. The entire workflow is administered by an Administrator who will set up the Users within the system and assign User rights..

Data Synchronization System - Infrastructure Protection

The Client is a pioneer in the area of infrastructure protection with proprietary technology.
SITUATIONAL CHALLENGE
The Infrastructure protection technology used several hardware interfaces that are remotely controlled and data read from to manage the devices and report on their performance, security logs and other management records. Data read from different devices had to be transformed and synchronized between field and central servers.
THE SOLUTION METMOX
Designed a central database application that could handle data from several thousands of heterogeneous appliances and store them in a common database . This data was used to perform security audits and run reports analyzing their usage patterns. It was important to retain some data on the Client side so authentication happened even when the appliance was offline. Synchronizing this data with the Server securely was done by encrypting the data for transmission.

Rights based User creation and management with both soft and physical authentication methods using bio metric readers.
Data Transformation: The application was built to interface with several different types and brands of appliances. Data obtained from several thousands of these appliances were transformed to a common database platform.
Data Management:
Data had to reside on the Client side for the time that the appliance was offline and synchronize with Server side data once online. Authentication was completed at the appliance level.
Reporting:
The Data received from each appliance was to be recorded for security logs by instance. This data was used for running reports to analyze utilization factors and benefit analysis.

The Client is one of the nation's largest telecom service providers. They have continuously changing products and services and they have to reach their audience in timely manner. They conduct aggressive marketing campaigns often at extremely short notice.
SITUATIONAL CHALLENGE
The Client operates in an extremely competitive environment where speed is of essence. Their go-to-market strategies are extremely dynamic and aggressive. Their digital assets have to be classified and re-purposed based on the current style and substance of promotional activities. They needed a system that could let them organize , retrieve, repurpose and publish content at the same time maintaining control over costs.
THE SOLUTION METMOX
Designed an ecommerce application for online management of digital collateral. The system connects to a Digital Asset Management solution at the back end which organizes the data. This data is available for Users with 'Role' based access rights. For publishing these collateral, certain value wise and quantity wise budgets are allotted by User, by department etc. This is a configurable logic that can be modified according to the requirement by the administrator. Any deviations from the budgets will have to be routed through a hierarchical process for approvals. A dash board will monitor the Usage at the organizational / departmental level and a system of alerts and escalations will track deviations.
